TAJ...thank you for sharing this wonderful review. Although i was able to download the entire album and listen to it alongside your words, i am more than eager to purchase a copy for myself after reading your post. It is quite a remarkable album, breathtaking actually, and your analysis of their past work as well as "third" has created a space to hear new sounds that may have, for me, gone unnoticed and unappreciated. Instead it is as if the songs i listened to over and over again so many years ago, have become fresh and new again. beautiful...

Cortney, thanks so much for your comment on the review. As you might have guessed, I often wonder, though only briefly, whether anyone reads the things I post here. I know that there are people who do--some of whom might make themselves known now that they can make comments--but it's always nice to get confirmation, especially the kind that your comment gave me...
